APR 2+ Golf 5 DSG

Postby Wazza » Mon Feb 18, 2013 2:37 pm

Hi Guys

Just wondering what should a 2+ APR G5 DSG make with the following mods

EVOMS Intake
DP
Autotech HPFP Internals
BSH Throttle intake
G6 Intercooler

and obviously the APR stg 2+ map with the cruise control switch between different octanes

On straight 95 octane

Obviously i know that exact figures would vary , but are we talking coparable to REVO or other software vendors here or not
oh ja and these figures would be up in JHB

Please any input here is welcome just wanna get a realistic figure or goal , i feel it should be comparable to other 2+ maps from other vendors ???

cheers

Hey Wazza!!

Long time bud!

Here is a guide I saw on APR's website...

Image

280 HP is 208kw... Seems a bit optimistic to me but think that is the 98 octane program... Also remember that SA has very poor fuels... I think a healthy G5 will do 180 - 190 flywheel kw (about 160+ wkw like Shaun said)

I think both APR and REVO are very similar in power figures. REVO is known for making power earlier in the rev range while APR are known for making it higher up... Got a friend with a G6 GTI here on REVO stage 1 and that thing feels between robots. So I guess it boils down to preferance and the service you will receive from your tuner.

Possible Causes

Hoses/Pipes incorrect connected, disconnected or leaking
Charger Pressure Control defective
Turbocharger faulty
Diverter Valve faulty

Possible Solutions

Check Hoses/Pipes to/between Components
Check / Clean / Replace Charge Pressure Control
Check Turbocharger
Check Diverter Valve

Special Notes

When found in 2.0l TFSI:

RoW vehicles see: TPI 2016331 for details.
NAR vehicles see: TSB 01-07-70 or 2013392 for details.
When stored in conjunction with misfire codes and/or fuel trim faults see the notes associated with the following faults regarding PCV failure: Crankcase Breather Valve
If the Turbocharger is faulty due to mechanical / internal problems or the exhaust system is restricted (typically the Catalyst) this fault may be the end result.
When found in VW Golf/Jetta (1K): 2.0l CR-TDI (CBEA/CJAA):
