Yeah man, the printer came in post order of the fascia. Already have a replacement unit in the design phase. Current work load is limiting though.

Cool man, 3D printing is expensive methods of production. What do you expect for the car in terms of power output once complete? Seen a few youtube videos of 3.2 Turbo TT's.

The 3D printer that we bought is definitely the best thing we could have invested in to date and I am ever grateful that this tech is now available to the average Joe. I have managed to achieve some good success with the printing thus far. Some new designs and interesting stuff should be coming from this new found ability we have.

The target horsepower for the car will initially be 600 - 650hp, once we have a suitable DSG solution then we would push on towards the 800 mark. There isn't an end date on this project and the expectation is that this car will stay with us indefinitely.

Test print of the flange for the new intake manifold.

Is the "X" in Project X referring to the number of years it's going to take to complete this? You've had the car for months. It should have had 3 turbos, been in 4 events and been rebuilt twice by now. Get a move on.

 I know, I know, I know. the cars actually covered in a layer of dust, unused and untouched. Time is a huge problem at the moment and with me insisting on being heavily involved at all stages its not going to be quick. I don't want to drop this off at the shop and pick it up when its done, theres no satisfaction for me in that. I hear you though, more needs to be done. :transform:

I definitely like the design of the setup.

Would there not be aftermarket radio / mobile pc that would be similarly priced?
