Wonderful thread, thanks!
I just have some questions if you don't mind helping me out with.

Solution:
-You can upgrade to the latest PCV “G” valve. There have been very few failures reported with this PCV. Please verify the PCV you have before upgrading. You can also opt for a PCV blockoff from BSH or the likes.
Part numbers for this upgrade:
PCV valve cover assembly: 06F 129 101 G
PCV valve cover gasket: 06F 103 483 E
PCV valve cover to turbo hose: 06F 103 215 A
PCV tube to turbo metal gasket: 06F 145 757 F

1) If I were to upgrade to the revision "G" valve, would I need all 4 parts mentioned above? (Approximate costs?)
2) Which option is better overall, upgrading the PCV or going for the blockoff?
3) Is there any way to know if the revision G valve will fit on my car without me having to physically open stuff up and loom for the current PCV?

Thanks a million

Hi guys

My jetta fsi is currently experiencing some ghost activities lol

The cooling fan randomly turns itself on even when the car is cold and the ignition is off

It's worrying because it will run the battery down if left on for too long

A friend of mine at audi says the 2.0t a3s do the same thing and then the fans require replacing

Anybody have any experience?

It's a 2006 jetta 5 2.0t fsi
Thanks in advance

CAM Followers?

do I have to change this every service?

car at the moment is stock and no modifications other than some STANCE

please advise on the CAM follower..... need to send the car to VW but need to find out if I should ask them to change the Follower (1st service at the moment 15K)

thanks

Rather be safe than sorry. Some guys had to change theirs on 5k. Some guys changed theirs on 15k,30k or even 60k.
The best is to strip it and inspect the cam follower. But while you got it open you might as well replace it. :like:
